Organic Matcha, an ultra fine powdered green tea from Japan with a creamy body makes a rich and delicious tea with a blend of green tea vitamins, minerals, chlorophyll and unique amino acids found almost exclusively in green tea.

Made from the finest Japanese Techa and used in traditional Japanese tea ceremonies, this Matcha green tea inspires focus, and calm drinking it hot or over ice.

Add 1 teaspoon of matcha to your matcha bowl (or any 4-10oz bowl). If the matcha has any lumps add a small amount of cold water and use your whisk to dissolve into a smooth paste. Add 2.5-3oz of 175° water to the bowl. Use a bamboo whisk to froth the matcha until all of the large bubbles are gone — approximately 15-30 seconds. When ready to drink, the liquid should look thick and frothy with tiny bubbles.

Sweet Iced Matcha Latte

Makes 1 Latte

Ingredients:

1 tsp Matcha Powder
1 cup Milk (any type)
2 pumps Simple Syrup
Ice

Directions:

1. Mix Matcha Powder with ¼ cup Cold Milk using a frother or blender
2. Add Simple Syrup
3. Top off with remaining ¾ cups Cold Milk.
4. Stir

To serve, fill cup with ice & pour over

May also be enjoyed hot. Instead of pouring over ice, heat over the stove or steam Matcha with the milk. Pour over syrup, swirling to combine.

Matcha Shamrock Shake

Ingredients:

3/4 cups whole milk
1 1/2 cups vanilla ice cream
2 teaspoons Mighty Leaf Tea Organic Matcha green tea
1/4 teaspoon pure peppermint extract

Directions:

Add all ingredients in the order listed into a blender. Blend until smooth.

Iced Matcha Lavender Latte

Makes 1 Latte

Ingredients:

1 tsp Matcha Powder 8 oz Milk
1/2 oz. lavender syrup
Ice

Directions:

1. Mix the Matcha with 2 oz. cold milk (any type) using a frother or blender
2. Add Lavender Syrup
3. Top of with remaining 6 oz. cold milk & stir

To Serve-

1. Fill cup with ice & pour over Matcha Lavender Latte
(May also be enjoyed hot. Instead of pouring over ice heat over the stove or steam)

Matcha Noodle Bowl with Chicken

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 4

Ingredients:

3 cups (750 mL) sodium-reduced chicken broth
4 tsp (20 mL) Mighty Leaf Matcha Green Tea Powder
1 onion, quartered
1 piece fresh gingerroot (1 inch/2.5 cm), peeled and sliced
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tsp (5 mL) wasabi paste
1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (6 oz/175 g each)
8 oz (250 g) soba noodles
1 carrot, peeled and sliced into matchsticks
1/4 English cucumber, sliced into matchsticks
1 ripe avocado, peeled, pitted and thinly sliced
2 green onions, sliced
1/4 cup (60 mL) fresh cilantro leaves
Soy sauce

Preparation:

In saucepan, bring chicken broth to boil. Add matcha powder, onion, ginger, garlic, wasabi paste and salt.

Add chicken; simmer for 10 to 12 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Remove chicken; let stand for 5 minutes and slice. Strain poaching liquid and keep hot.

Meanwhile, cook soba noodles according to package directions; drain. Divide noodles between 4 bowls. Top with sliced chicken. Ladle hot broth into bowls; top with carrots, cucumber, avocado, green onions and cilantro. Serve with soy sauce.

Easter Matcha Chocolates

Ingredients:

3 cups (12 oz.) White Chocolate Candy Melts
1 tbsp Coconut Oil
2 tsp Organic Matcha
(optional Genmai Cha)

Directions:

1. Melt White Chocolate with Coconut Oil in a double boiler or in the microwave. Stirring occasionally until smooth
2. Stir in Organic Matcha until the color is even
3. Carefully pour into candy molds
4. Tap molds on table top to settle
5. Optional - sprinkle Genmai Cha over the backs of the chocolates to add a great crunchy texture and toasty flavor
5. Allow to set in the freezer approx. 10 minutes
6. Remove from molds, share, enjoy, repeat

Matcha Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

Ingredients:

12 oz. White Chocolate Candy Melts
2 tsp Organic Matcha
Strawberries

Directions:

1. Melt White Chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave. Stirring occasionally until smooth
2. Stir in Organic Matcha until the color is even
3. Dip clean and dry strawberries in the matcha chocolate & set on a wax paper lined cookie sheet
4. Put in the freezer for 5 minutes to set
5. Arrange on a serving tray. Enjoy!

Matcha Mint Julep

Ingredients:

10 Mint Leaves + Mint Sprig
1/2 tsp Organic Matcha
1 1/2 tsp Superfine Bar Sugar
Seltzer Water
2 oz. Kentucky Bourbon
Crushed Ice

Directions:

1. Combine Organic Matcha and sugar
2. Place mint leaves in an old-fashioned glass and top with matcha/sugar mixture and muddle together
3. Add a splash of seltzer water and swirl together
4. Fill the glass with crushed ice
5. Add the bourbon and top off with seltzer water.
6. Garnish with a sprig of mint. Enjoy
